To be honest Phil, I'd be more concerned about cavitating the label side than anything else - it's probably the most effective way of knackering discs.

Just use a small drop of washing up liquid and then rinse under the tap!
Make sure it’s audiophile washing up liquid though for the best sound quality.

It seems glasses (spectacles) with plastic, or coated lens, cannot be put in for ultrasonic cleaning - BUM.

That would rule out CD's then I would think.
I think the main reason why Europeans no longer want to travel to the USA is the big time difference. For me, it's now 7pm. In the USA it's now 1933.

Try an old CD first Phil that you are not that bothered about. Rest the CD on something soft as you don't want it rattling about in there.
