Bum! I have one.... I want another so I can play with pp and biasing the cathodes
I've got a fender tremoluxe amp. 'Harvard' with tremelo. Half a 12ax7 is the trem oscillator and the 6v6 output pair are fixed bias. The schematic asks for -31.5 volts and its fun going up or down.
I've avoided cathode bias but now I can't- deep joy!
Imagine this has suddenly appeared in the beginner folder.
What happens physically, to the valve if I go too far with negative bias?

It cuts off. But beyond that, I am not sure what you are asking in context?
I think the main reason why Europeans no longer want to travel to the USA is the big time difference. For me, it's now 7pm. In the USA it's now 1933.

Oooo I've found a couple of 6w6s in a pile of old boxes. Looking forward to trying them tomorrow.
