#1 Pair of 2A3 Wanted

Unread post by Cressy Snr »

Anyone got a pair of 2A3s, EH, Sovtek or Chinese they could sell me?
I'd like to go back to where I started from and build a Loftin-White or a Monkey.
I think it would make a nice little project.

Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

Great news, maybe when you have it up and running you could bring it to Scarborough for a day out?

Maybe in Spring? We can have a walk aswell as enjoying our joint hobby.

I may have my EL36 amp built by then, but my very reliable EL38 amp is going strong.

I have the components to make two monoblocks, but if its built by Spring it would be powered by my bench supply. My hands have cerebral palsy effectively. The condition is known as cerebral amaloyd angiopathy.

When I introduced that transformer secondary feedback into the EL38 amp it was an improvement, so its a no brainer to use it again.

My limit in voltage is governed by the Black Gates.

Thanks to Nick G for teaching me this and Mike H’s website which he had forgotten he had a drawing of this feedback on.

Of course the 2.6% is readoff the loadline at 7 watts, and is comparable to 2a3 and 300b. But I cant predict the effect of the transformer feedback. What I can say is it cleaned up the EL38 noticeably.
